Shortly before 0300hrs the Somerset Fire District was alerted for an unknown type fire on Rt. 519 in the area of the beer distributor. Additional calls reported flames showing. Chief 46 arrived with a working metal sided storage type building fully involved with multiple exposures and established the command. Engine 46 and Engine 47 arrived and were assigned to fire attack while Engine 38 established the water supply. Chief 47 took up operations section and a defensive attack was taken on original fire building while crews from 47 House made a stop to adjoining structure. Command requested manpower from 48(North Strabane FD), 44(South Strabane FD) and Tower 48 to scene. Rapid Intervention Crews from Co. 65(Houston) were also requested. Fire was brought under control in about two hours and crews remained on scene well into the morning performing overhaul operations. Also assisting was Bentworth Ambulance.
