At approximately 1300 hrs. Station 46 was alerted for a one vehicle accident, rollover, with injuries in Nottingham Township. As the Rescue was going in service dispatch updated the call to have entrapment. Rescue 46 arrived and Chief 46(Curcio) established command with one SUV on its roof, one patient still inside. Rescue crew stabilized vehicle and primary access was gained by open doors. Decision was made by medics and Command to remove rear hatch and extricate patient through the rear. The Amkus cutters were placed into service to remove hatch and patient was removed and transported to landing zone. Rescue crew remained on scene for about an hour and until roadway was reopened.
